I started CleanRun in 2013 after watching too many homeowners pay for duct cleaning and receive nothing they could hold in their hands, no proof the work happened. Before that, I spent six years in HVAC install, crawling attics in August, learning what a proper negative-pressure extraction actually looks like versus a shop vac pushed into a register. I still ride with crews on complex jobs, especially when we’re dealing with older galvanized ductwork in Pearland’s pre-2000 neighborhoods, where seams have settled and every elbow tells a different story. I don’t write copy about “passion for clean air.” I write prices on paper before work starts, and I make sure every customer gets their photo record. That’s Haven Standard Clause 1, and it’s non-negotiable.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with CleanRun since 2017, which means he’s photographed the inside of roughly 8,000 duct runs and can read a plenum like some people read road signs. He’s certified on our Rotobrush and Nikro negative-pressure systems, but his real specialty is older homes in the Pearland original townsite near Old Alvin Road, where ductwork was often retrofitted by whoever was available in the 1970s and the access panels are in places that require creative thinking. Off the job, Marcus rebuilds vintage motorcycles, a hobby that translates directly to his patience with seized screws and his refusal to force a panel that isn’t ready to move. Customers mention him by name in reviews more than any other technician on our crew.
Diana K., Senior Installer & Duct Repair Specialist
Diana joined us in 2019 after eight years in commercial HVAC retrofit, and she brought a rigor to our duct repair and sealing work that changed how we approach it. She’s the person we send when a homeowner in Lakes of Highland Glen has been told their entire system needs replacement, because Diana can evaluate whether strategic sealing with mastic and mechanical fasteners will solve the problem at a fraction of the cost. She’s trained on Abatement Technologies containment protocols and holds our in-house certification for duct run integrity testing. Her human detail is simple: she keeps a notebook of every home’s “personality,” her term for the quirks of how a particular system was installed, and she references it before every return visit. She also makes the best tamales of anyone on the crew, a claim Marcus disputes but has never actually tested.
James R., Service Coordinator
James answers the phone when you call (346) 253-1822, and he’s the one who makes sure your written estimate is ready before the van leaves our shop. He’s been with CleanRun since 2021, and before that he coordinated field operations for a commercial cleaning company, which taught him the difference between a schedule and a schedule that actually works. James tracks every job’s photo record delivery, handles the Free Second Opinion requests when a Pearland homeowner brings us a competitor’s quote, and knows the permit requirements for duct modification in Brazoria County well enough to flag when a job needs pre-approval. He grew up in Pearland, graduated from Pearland High School in 2014, and can tell you which neighborhoods built in which years are likely to have flex duct versus hard pipe without looking at a map. He also has a dog named Filter, which he insists was not intentional.
Elena V., Apprentice Technician
Elena started with us in early 2024 after completing her HVAC fundamentals certification at San Jacinto College South. She’s in her supervised practice period, which means she works every job with either Marcus or Diana, learning to operate our Honeywell and Aprilaire air quality equipment and to document runs to our photo record standard. She’s already developed a specialty in dryer vent cleaning, particularly the long horizontal runs common in newer Pearland construction where lint accumulation is hidden and significant. Elena asks more questions than any apprentice we’ve had, which is exactly what we want when she’s learning to identify asbestos tape on older ductwork or to recognize when a plenum has been compromised by rodent activity. She lives in Friendswood and complains about the commute, which is fair, because 518 at 5 PM is what it is.
